The best way to reduce the amount of time required
to complete your move is to prepare in advance as much as possible. One way is to pack as much as you can. For example, fragile items take the longest to pack because of the amount of paper or bubble wrap used to protect them.
Other ways to save money on your move is to:
- Label boxes clearly. Include the room they belong.
- Have a plan for where you'd like your furniture placed in your new home
- Make sure boxes close flat so they can be stacked
- Arrange parking for the moving truck at both destinations
Make sure you have all important phone numbers and schedules of family members handy when the actual moving day arrives. Keep your cell phone on and/or new phone service ready.
